The Mission of the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council (DFWHC or the Council) is to continually improve patient safety and quality of healthcare in our region.
We do this by:
- Creating innovative solutions through collaboration and coordination of efforts;
- Serving as advocates for day-to-day issues that affect hospitals, while balancing the demands of the region with state and national issues;
- Providing the most accurate, timely and comprehensive information to our members and other constituents; and,
- Improving the workforce numbers in our region.
DFWHC is a non-profit trade association for hospitals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, which has been committed to the continuous improvement of healthcare in the metroplex throughout our 40 year history.
DFWHC is comprised of hospitals and healthcare organizations throughout the North Texas region spanning over a 100-mile radius from its headquarters in Irving, Texas.
DFWHC is governed by a 12-member Board of Trustees made up of hospital chief executive officers or chief operating officers. The Council's membership consists of hospitals licensed by the state of Texas as acute care facilities. Associate membership is made up of healthcare-related businesses and organizations linked to our local, state and national health industry.
